My progress through Financial Peace University -- I'm starting to feel as though I'm stuck on baby step two but when you're hardly making ends meat it's hard to pay things off.
My progress with the job hunt -- I am now working one job, i've given up H & R Block. I feel that the dependability and stability of Cracker Barrel is better for me right now. Not to mention I only have three more classes to complete. Can't wait to be finished so I can get back to a normal day job, I know that sounds weird but it's true.
My progress with finding a place to live goal out by 2013 -- This has been put back on hold I think I might be able to accomplish this but right now I'll be after I graduate and find a permanent position.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- This has kindda found a back seat to my schooling.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- Imanaged to have the room clean though it could stand a touch up. Actually we redid my room and it's more calming now, the walls actually look like water. The basement still needs a lot of work though.
My progress on Quilts -- Candy has the binding attached on one side so now I just need to hand stich the other side which I'm about a quarter of the way done.The flowered quilt needs one and a half borders to be put on and then the paper removed before it can go to be quilted. Blue Green is still in the process of being worked on though mom has been the one doing most of the work we are now looking at creating lap quilts out of it for the nursing home.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- It's been a bumpy ride, and I've gotten stuck more than once, but I feel like I'm on the right track now and I feel better about my financial status now than I have in a long time.
My progress with the job hunt -- I am now working two jobs, yes two, one is Cracker Barrel as a cashier and the other is at H & R Block. I've completed 8 classes toward my degree and am currently working on class 9. Not sure how I'm managing to get everything done right now but so far it's been getting done. I don't have time to do a whole lot other than work and school right now though but it's only for a couple more months for Block then the season is over and I can concentrate more on school again.
My progress with finding a place to live goal out by 2013 -- This has been put back on hold I think I might be able to accomplish this but right now I'll be after I graduate and find a permanent position.

My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- I have a long way to go it seems everytime the house gets cleaned everything of mine ends up in a pile.
My progress on Quilts -- Candy still needs to have the binding attached, I have half of the squares done on the flowered quilt and half of the other half done, then put it all together and have it quilted at some point. Blue Green is still in the process of being worked on though mom has been the one doing most of the work.

My progress with the job hunt --Right now I'm watching my cousin after school, it's not much but it's something. I've completed six classes so far toward my degree and am working on 7 and 8. I'm proud of myself because I'm pulling a B average (3.17) I would love to see it around a 3.5. I'll also be working at H&R Block come tax season, which actually starts in November.
My progress with finding a place to live goal out by 2013 -- This has been put back on hold I think I might be able to accomplish this but right now I'll be after I graduate and find a permanent position.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- I almost have my car paid off!!!! Two more months and it will be paid off!! Can't believe it, Now to get everything else paid off. Slow process when the income is low, but I WILL GET IT ALL PAID OFF!!!!!!
My progress with the job hunt --So the Hancock job didn't go so well. After three weeks they said it wasn't working out so I was back to finding a job. Right now I'm watching my cousin after school, it's not much but it's something. I've completed four classes so far toward my degree and am working on 5 and 6, I'm also registered for #7 and 8. I'm proud of myself because I'm pulling a low B average (3.0) I would love to see it around a 3.5. I'll also be working at H&R Block come tax season, I think they are going to have me at two different offices so I should get more hours this season than last.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- I'm getting ready to start budgeting again, I'll start having an income soon so It will be a slow process but I'll be working on it.
My progress with the job hunt --So I started working on my MBA/CPA degree back in May I've completed two classes so far and am almost done with the third and fourth class. I went to TJMaxx and filled out an application yesterday and figured while I was in the area I might as well stop by Hancock Fabrics to see if they were hiring. The lady at the register didn't know but got me an application I filled it out there gave it to the assistant manager, had an interview with the head manager and was hired on the spot. I'm not sure exactly when I'll be starting (they need to do the schedule yet) but it should be soon. Can't wait to be working a standard job again, granted it's part-time but it's a year round job not just some seasonal position.
My progress with finding a place to live goal out by 2013 -- This seems to actually be more and more of a possibility now that I'm going to have a somewhat steady income and once the bills get paid off I'll be saving up.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- I haven't really written anything on this in a while but with school and the job search I haven't really had time to do anything with it. My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- Room still needs to be cleaned, not as bad as it's been but it still needs some work. The computer desk in the basement has been cleaned off and the other desk has been partially cleaned off so that area is under construction, hopefully I'll be able to spend some time on it once a week.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- Well this is being put on hold I'm still using the principals but no work is being done.
My progress with the job hunt -- H&R Block ends tomorrow and I've gotten in contact with Kings Island and well I'm not going to be working the money room this year. So I'm looking for a new job. No luck so far and I've pretty much decided that I'm going to go back to school for accounting don't know how I'll pay for it since I won't be working unless I find a job but I'll be going for a master's degree that will lead to a CPA. Hopefully I'll be able to get enough financial aid to pay for it I'll probably end up with loans but I've been thinking about this for two years ever since I graduated so I'm going for it. as far as starting my own business again don't know how I would pay for it or get it started.
My progress with finding a place to live goal out by 2013 -- Well I would love to be able to move out but right now I am having problems meeting the bills I have I don't think it would be wise for me to move out and add on more bills to those I already have. I'm waiting till I have a steady income.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- I've been working on this haven't really written anything but have gotten some of the research and dates that I needed figured out. Have a few more things to look up then I'll be able to start the actual writing again. I'll have to go back and read over what I already have written but that won't be to bad I'll probably end up rewriting parts of it but that's fine.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- Well this is a hard thing for me but I'll have time to work on it. My plan is to at least get the room clean next week since I don't really have any other plans. We'll see how well that goes.
My progress on Quilts -- I've managed to iron Candy's binding now I just need to attach it. I have half squares to finish on the Flowered quilt, then I can sew the blocks together to form the top. Once I get the top finished I'll probably have to store it for a while before I can get it quilted there just isn't any money for it right now. There's still a lot of work to do on the Blue Green quilt though Mom has done some work on it.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- Baby Step 1 done. Cash flow plan for March done. Debt Snowball done. Next up April's Cash Flow Plan.
My progress with the job hunt -- I'm currently working at H&R Block with the luck I've been having finding a job I'll end up staying till April 15. As for Kings Island I just need to go to Associate Services once my background check is done. I have all the other paperwork done and turned in so I just need the background check. I'm still looking for something more permanent but I'm excited to go back to Kings Island. I'm still thinking about going back to school but the only problem is how would I pay for it. I'm also kicking around the idea of starting my own business but don't know how well that would go over and I'm not sure where to start with it.

Yesterday was my parent's wedding aniversary. They've been married 36 years.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- Okay I'm proud of myself. I've managed to complete Baby Step 1 and I have a Cash Flow Plan for February, and I'm part way done with March. I need to complete the Debt Snowball before I finish March's Cash Flow Plan. Today's Financial Peace class is on Debt so I'm syked. I'm ready to start Baby Step 2 and today's lesson is on Baby Step 2 I am so ready for this. I felt this time would be better for me. Now if only I could control the amount of income I have coming in, I would be better off.
My progress with the job hunt -- I'm currently working at H&R Block with the luck I've been having finding a job I'll end up staying till April 15. My progress on the book I'm writing -- Well I'm going to start working on this soon I have several things on the back burner that I need to look up but that shouldn't take too long. then I should be able to start writing again. I just need to figure out where a few things land on the time line before I get too far back into it.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- well this has kinda blown up. I now need to also clean the family room, living room and dining room. I need to kick my butt into gear and work on this. I've told myself that once the binding on the quilt I'm working on is done I'm going to get the cleaning done. I should have the quilt finished today so the cleaning will be started tomorrow.
My progress on Quilts -- I'm down to about a foot left to finish on Fire's binding, I'm going to attempt to post some pictures once its finished. hopefully Candy's binding won't take as long. I ahve half squares to finish on the Flowered quilt, then I can sew the blocks together to form the top. Then I'll have to figure out how to put some money into the budget for the quilting of it. I'm hoping to get mom to do the machine part of the binding on Candy so that when I'm ready to start the hand sewing it's ready to be worked. I still have a lot of work to do on the Blue Green quilt though Mom has done some work on it.

Winter/Spring Week 1 Update

My progress through Financial Peace University -- I started the new session last Wednesday, I can already tell that this time will be more benificial for me. I haven't done the quickie budget yet for this week but I know that I'm not going to be able to be at tomorrow's class so I'm not too worried about it.
My progress with the job hunt -- Well I've started back at Block so I figure I'll probably finish off the season here. I reapplied at Kings Island and have been rehired. Can't wait for that to start. I'm still looking for something more permanent but I know that if I'm careful with the money I'll be able to make it through this year. I found a job that I'll be applying to in Sunday's paper. I'm also thinking about going back to school for accounting but I'm not sure if I should or not.
My progress with finding a place to live -- I now have a job but I need to get the bills paid off before I move out. Hopefully I'll be able to make my goal of moving out in 2013, don't know if it will be to an apartment or a house but hopefully I'll be able to be out of my parent's house.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- I haven't been able to work on the book that much since I'm trying to work on cleaning and quilting. I wish there were more hours in the day at times.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- The room is almost clean the rest of the house has a little bit of work left to do on it. The area in the basement still needs some major work.
My progress on Quilts -- I have probably around 2 to 3 feet left to do on Fire's binding then I'll be working on Candy's binding. The Flowered quilt I have the stripped squares finished and half of the other squares are done. It shouldn't take too much more time to finish the squares.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- well I finished the class, I'm going to take another session starting the end of this month. Hopefully I'll be able to get a better grasp now that I have some income to figure into the budget.
My progress with the job hunt -- Okay so the job hunt isn't going that great. I'm back at H&R Block for a while at least, hopefully I won't have to work there till the end of the tax season. I'm hoping to find something soon, something a little more permanent.
My progress with finding a place to live -- I can't really start on this one till I have a job lined up so this one is kinda on hold for the time being.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- Timelines are done now all I need to do is put together the compiled timeline. then back to writing.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- Well I started working on this over the holidays. It still needs some major work.
My progress on Quilts -- I'm down to a little over half of the last side yet to complete on my fire quilt. I've finished half of the squares for my flowered quilt and have material cut for the other half. If I work on them this week I should be able to have the squares together.

My progress with the job hunt -- I applied at Antham and Merchants Security last week I'm hoping to hear something this week. I have a couple other places that I'll be appling later this week.
My progress with finding a place to live -- I can't really start on this one till I have a job lined up so this one is kinda on hold for the time being.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- Timelines are done I just have to finish typing them up then I need to put together the compiled timeline. then back to writing.

Haven't updated in a while I'm starting to feel depressed about the job situation Had to buy tires for the car today and had to have my parents pay for them cause I have no money and right now no credit. I have no idea where the money to pay my bills for next month is going to come from. Then January my school loans come out of deferment so I have to start paying on them again and I can barely pay the bills I'm trying to pay now.

My progress with the job hunt -- I went to an open job fair for Levi's had an interview while I was there and was told they were hoping to be able to call people by Monday so I'm unsure with the progress of that one I have a few other places I'm going to be applying to so hopefully something will come of all this. I have heard from H&R Block and have been rehired there so I do have something starting in January but there is also a possibility of me starting in December.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- Finished my monthly budget before class, saw an ad on tv tonight and want to seriously rework the budget but the money isn't there for what I want to get so it will be a couple of months before I can get Bones Season 4. Maybe I'll get lucky and get it for Christmas.
My progress with the job hunt -- as of right now I'm headed back to H&R Block don't really know where else to look. I feel like I've already applied everywhere at least once if not twice. I'm starting to loose hope at finding something and right now won't have money for bills in November and possibly December depends on when I start at Block. Don't know how many hours I'll be getting at Block so I don't truly know how long the money will hold out. Any one good with Resumes? I could use some help with mine I have one written but I'm not real happy with it and right now could use all the help I can get.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- Got home a little while ago. didn't get a chance to read chapters 14-18 hopefully I can get caught up on that this week while also preparing a budget.
My progress with the job hunt -- Belterra offered me a part-time position but I have decided to turn it down mainly because of the drive. As long as I complete 24 CE hours I'll be back working at H&R Block. I'm still holding out hope that something closer will come up. Hopefully I'll be able to apply at the right place at the right time and end up with a great opportunity. I'm also kicking around the idea of starting my own business, I have an idea but no clue as to where to start or how to start or anything, if anyone knows anything about starting a business or knows someone that does please help.

My progress on the book I'm writing -- Would love to be farther along on this one but just haven't had the chance to work on it lately.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- The "Craft" desk is semi-cleaned off. I have enough room to scrapbook and what's piled on it is the items I'm using to scrapbook with. The computer desk is looking better, not great by any means but better.
My progress on Quilts -- I managed to get about four or five inches done while watching Bones last week maybe I'll get a few more done this week.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- haven't worked on anything for next week yet. Need to read chapters 14-18
My progress with the job hunt -- I have an interview with two places set up for next week: 1. Belterra Casino the only downfall to this position is the drive is 1 1/2 hours from where I currently live, but it would be full time and have benifits, 2. H & R Block have to go through the interview process to be able to be rehired. I also put in an application at Office Depot and The Clothing Loft.
My progress with finding a place to live -- I can't really start on this one till I have a job lined up so this one is kinda on hold for the time being.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- I am up to being to the year 1988 in my book so it's going well, I haven't really been spending a whole lot of time on it. I'm trying to schedule in more time to work on it but that's hard for me I've never been one to do well scheduling time so it goes by without me noticing.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- I had my computer desk in the basement cleaned off then I cleaned off my craft desk and things got piled up on the computer desk but I can scrapbook again!!!!

My progress through Financial Peace University -- I finished the "homework" from last week on Friday so I'm all set for class tonight.
My progress with the job hunt -- I applied at Belterra Casino and have an interview set up for next week. I also have an interview with H&R Block next week to hopefully be rehired. I would prefer the job with Belterra cause it would be considered full time yeah the drive would be more than I truly want but to start out with I could live with it. I'm also headed to Office Depot to turn in an application so hopefully something will pan out for me.

When I began I said there was three things I was going to keep updating and posting about progress well I've thought of a few others also so I figured I'd give an update on the original three then start on the others.

My progress through Financial Peace University -- I go to the first official meeting for Financial Peace tomorrow night so hopefully it will go well.
My progress with the job hunt -- I've applied at a few places haven't heard anything from anyone yet so I'm still applying. One of my main problems with this one is I'm not sure what I want to do so I'm not sure where to apply. I know of some things I don't want to do but there's so much out there that it's hard to decide.
My progress with finding a place to live -- I can't really start on this one till I have a job lined up so this one is kinda on hold for the time being.
My progress on the book I'm writing -- I started writing a book in February and so far have a timeline set up. The book is going over several years kinda like a diary, it starts in 1978 and will end somewhere in 2008. So far I have 1978 through 1986 written.
My progress on cleaning my room and area in the basement -- I'm horrible when it comes time to clean and organize, I normally just take stuff and set it somewhere so I'm hoping that by forcing myself to update on here (hopefully around once a week or so) I'll be able to get things in order.
My progress on Quilts -- I currently have four quilts I'm working on in various stages. I've named each one there's Fire, Candy, Blue green, and flower. On fire I just need to finish hand stitching the binding I'm about half way through with it. Candy I need to sew the material for the binding together on the machine then attach it to the quilt and finish with hand stitching. Blue green the material is cut I'm working on piecing each square, when I designed this one I didn't think it would be this difficult to have each square be different. Flower is a paper pieced quilt that has two different squares I currently have the fabric for the first square cut out and am working on piecing it all together.

I went to an informational meeting for Financial Peace University tonight and have decided that my finances are out of control, so hopefully this will help, I know I have a long hard road ahead of me but it's better to start now than later. As for the job hunt I applied at Home Depot and Sears today hopefully I hear something from one or both of them. Once I have a steady job I'll be able to look more into a place to live.
